Knowing Chiropractic Philosophy

DD_Page_31_Image_0001People live by their philosophies of life. Without a philosophy, no one has an adequate basis for arriving at conclusions as to what should be the procedure in the problems of life. The person who understands the philosophy of chiropractic has no limits at all upon what he may do, except in his ability to apply the principles of chiropractic to the circumstances. Without the philosophy of chiropractic, one would not come to the conclusion that vertebral adjustment is necessary. Few chiropractors ever reason out the science of chiropractic unless they get fundamental philosophy in their early study of the subject and, therefore, they cannot apply the principles in practice. What do all Healthcare professionals have in Common?

ImageWhat do Medical Doctors, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, Nutritionists, Dentists, Massage Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, Veterinarians, Dietitians, Opticians, Home Health Aide, Paramedics, etc. have in common.

The willingness to help others and a willingness to express their ability to heal.

Do they have another thing in common? Yes! During their education they were rarely taught how to run a business. Most of these professionals fail in business because of this.

There skill as a healthcare profession is such that more and more people want their services but these professionals, in the main, don’t know how to meet this demand so they fail or struggle to survive. Some of their professions are dying. This is a major problem for them and for their patients. With an aging population these professions need to thrive.

I do know of a solution which not only applies to health care professionals in private practice but all entrepreneurs. There are many companies that offer Hubbard Management Technology. One of them is Measurable Solutions, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida that has courses for all professions. Here’s their number and website: 1-800-491-2828, http://www.measurablesolutions.com.

Give them a call and find out how you can put this technology to work in your business.

Chiropractic Christmas

Inspiration RightT’was the day before Christmas,
but there was no cheer.
No jingle bells jingled, no sound of reindeer.
The word had got out that Santa was sick.
There’d be no friendly visit from jolly St. Nick. The people were sad; no gaiety sounded. For Christmas had come, but Santa was grounded.

He walked down the street,
and what should he see?
On a small sign was printed, Family Life Chiropractic

Now, Santa was not one to like a new tactic,
But all else had failed, so he’d try Chiropractic.
He entered the office and saw at a glance
In a place such as this illness hasn’t a chance.

For all were smiling; the music was snappy,
With all the patients contented and happy.
In a very short time, to judge by the clock,
He was in the adjusting room, talking to Doc.

“It must be the hurry, the tension and all.
I simply can’t seem to get on the ball.
Life used to be easy, just toys, guns and whistles.
Now I have to dodge fall-out,
space ships and missiles.”

And Doc, take a look at the size of this pack!
Have you any idea what it does to my back?
Poor Santa was miserable; just barely able
With the help of the doctor, to get to the table.

The doctor was gentle. Without fuss or tussle
He examined the vertebrae
and relaxed the muscles.
He spotted the trouble, and then with a click,
Started aligning the ailing St. Nick.

And Santa felt aches and pains slipping away.
In no time at all he began to feel gay.
The air was a tingle with a new fallen snow.
And a healthy Kris Kringle was rarin’ to go.

As he went out the door, he threw all a kiss.
Why, it has been centuries since
he’d felt as good as this!
Then once more he shouldered the bag full of toys.
His heart overflowing with true Christmas joys.

So, may we, your friends, echo this cheer?

Merry Christmas to you
and to all a good year!

I’ve Fallen Down and Can’t Get Up by Rolly Polly

image descriptionThere is an urgency for people to realize that when they eat toxic foods they are going to gain weight and have health problems. When I was doing the promotion and marketing for my Chiropractic clinic I would write local newspaper articles with titles like “I’ve Fallen Down and Can’t Get Up” for chiropractic and spinal decompression and “Certain Foods are Driving Children Crazy” for nutritional products my partners and I carried. We had a monthly workshop usually on Weight Loss and I created a PowerPoint presentation for that. I also did patient photos and testimonials that I put into a press book and left in the clinic for others to read.

Another new patient attractor was a line of whole food products that transformed patients to a healthy lifestyle. Weight loss was the key factor but what the patients also got was more energy and a desire to exercise which we all know is crucial to a patient’s overall success.

I’ve recently come across a nutritional system that has all the above prepackaged for me and I’m doing this type of promotion to transform family and friends to a healthy lifestyle. It can also be another source of income for any health care professional, Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, MD, Massage Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Life Coach, or individual wanting to be an entrepreneur.

I will speak to anyone on the subjects of health and nutrition. Leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Alternative Health Care Professionals are saving lives!

eating disorderOf course, I’m allowed to say that you are saving lives because I’m not a health care professional. Even a medical doctor can’t say he can cure or heal anything. But what if that statement was the truth? That alternative health care professionals cause miracles in their practices on a daily basis.

The only way I can prove this is by listening to their patients. They tell the practitioner that they have “magical hands”, “that they gave them back their life”, “that if it wasn’t for you I don’t know where I would be today.” I have been a part owner in a couple of Chiropractic clinics and I was the one responsible for getting the patients testimonials and putting them into print. To say the least, those testimonials defied all know scientific law. According to medical law, their isn’t a cure for certain diseases, but here are patients that no longer have them and they are living a full life again. According to medicine they should have been medicated for the rest of their lives, received in some cases toxic treatment and then in a large majority would die anyways.

What can an individual do to avoid such a tragic end. They could transition to a healthy lifestyle by first and foremost, eliminating sugar from their diet, start exercising moderately to begin with, eat more live organic foods and drink a lot of pure water.

Unfortunately, those people that are sick have a hard time believing that it could be that simple. So, the only thing they should do is turn themselves in to an alternative health care professional and ask to be guided by them.

Then there would be hope! It would also be helpful if that professional had a simple health program that the patients could adopt.

Email me through FaceBook if you want to learn more about transitioning to a healthy lifestyle or make a comment below and I will get back to you.

Developing Yourself

Green BooksThe man who graduates today and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the day after. I wouldn’t want anyone to try to convince you  that they will guarantee your living. I want you to realize that there is plenty of opportunity in this country for you to achieve success. But whether you win or lose depends entirely on your own character, perseverance, intelligence, creativity, imagination and a capacity to work hard to achieve your goals. And all these characteristics of who you are, are not fixed, they can be developed.

Perhaps the starting point in helping businessmen and women is to simply say that we are talking about increasing their awareness that they can in fact discover their underlying purpose in life. The happiest people that I’ve met are those who have contributed to the welfare of others. Unfortunately that purpose can get buried under the failures in life. This accumulation of losses tends to confirm that you don’t have the capacity to succeed, that life is just like that, one loss after another.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Your purpose is always there and is just as strong as the day you conceived it.

After discovering your purpose and rekindling it, there are two arts you must focus on, the art of learning and the art of communication.

“The world wonders, admires, idolizes, and it illustrates what others may do if they take hold of life with a purpose. The miracle, or the power, that elevates the few, is to be found in their industry, application, and perseverance under the promptings of a brave, determined spirit.” Mark Twain

Ten Commandments of Health

Image

1. Help yourself to health. Form habits that will fight for you, not against you.

2. Do not expect to have good health without effort. Health must be earned.

3. Adopt firm policy that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

4. Make food your servant, not your master. Eat for strength.

5. Breathe deeply, for air is life’s first requisite and nature’s best tonic.

6. Exercise for health, not for strength. Exercise sends clean blood  to the brain.

7. Seek sunshine, for sunshine and disease are always enemies.

8. Water, use plentifully daily; warm for cleanliness, cold for tonic.

9. Keep a clear conscience, for true rest is mental as well as physical.

10. Work planfully, read much and play often. Play keeps old age at bay.

Human Peak Performance

In order to understand human performance, you should study automotive performance or horsepower. How does one increase horsepower in a car engine?

There are three interactive components of horsepower, air, fuel and exhaust. If you want to increase horsepower you have to increase the air flow, then you can increase the fuel amount and then you have to increase the exit flow of exhaust.

Horsepower

If any one of the three is restricted then the horsepower will not increase. So if you want to hot rod a car or motorcycle, the first thing you would do is replace the air filter system with a free flowing system. Then you can adjust the amount of fuel accordingly (on new cars you have to change the computer settings to properly balance air, fuel and exhaust). Then with increased air and fuel you can’t have a restricted exhaust system so you change that out for a free flowing exhaust or dual exhaust and now you are really increasing the performance of your car or motorcycle and you would probably increase the gas mileage as well.

Now, what does this have to do with Peak Performance of the human body. Well it has three interactive components just like an automobile or perhaps the automobile is really a mechanical human.

Peak PerformanceThe three interactive components of the human body are oxygen (air), food (fuel) and elimination (exhaust).

If you want to increase your performance you have to take in more oxygen by exercising, then increase the quality of your food, and then you better improve the elimination of the byproducts of combustion by elimination. Eating foods with a lot of fiber helps elimination. Eating foods that are of high quality is the most important component of health and performance.

Now what is the fastest and most destructive way to destroy an automotive engine? You add a pound of sugar to the gas tank each time you fill up and the sugar will clog the fuel lines. Run an engine with sugar in the fuel and it will eventually have to be rebuilt from top to bottom.

And what is the fastest and most destructive way to destroy the human body? Add sugar to it’s stomach and run it on sugary foods. In a short time that body will lose performance, tire out, and eventually fail. I understand that the one substance among many that causes cancer is the consumption of sugar. In fact when the medicos are testing to see if a person has cancer in their organs they have the patient drink a sugar solution with radioactive dye in it and the cancer cells are attracted to the sugar and show up on the CT scan.

So cancer cells love sugar. Or is it that sugar causes cancer? To consume sugar or not to consume, that is the question.

Being on Purpose

ImageWhat we call energy in an employee is the product of physical vigor, or health, and of a purpose, or result clearly conceived and strongly desired. In a Chiropractic office an employee who hasn’t fully adopted the purpose to help as many people as possible obtain optimum health, will stop the expansion of that practice. Those are harsh words, but true. Here’s why.

The employee who is on purpose will take the initiative to arrive early, get the practice setup to accept a large flow of patients and then go ahead and fill the office up. She will answer the phone cheerfully and listen to what the new patient is saying and by her tone alone the new patient will know that they have called the right office. She will be caring, interested in the new patients symptoms and will encourage that new patient to make an appointment as soon as possible because she knows that once her doctor get his hands on that patient, the patient will immediately start to get well. And she won’t let that patient fall out of care when the symptoms go away as she knows that the condition the patient has needs to be corrected and that if the patient leaves before that, those symptoms will return. She knows that the patients have to arrive for each of their scheduled appointments and that if they miss one they need to make it up. Keeping appointments is the only way to get healthy. She is considerate of the patient’s needs and will take the time to talk to a patient when the doctor can’t and will ensure that the patient’s concerns are given to the doctor and spoken about at the very next visit. She knows that if a patient asks to cut down on their visits that the patient is in fact dropping out of care and will schedule the patient for a re-examination on their next visit. She also knows that patients need to pay for their adjustments at the time of their visit as this avoids problems, wasted time and energy in the future.

Being on purpose allows her to talk freely about Chiropractic while outside the office and to be emphatic that a person she meets with symptoms should turn themselves in and get the care they are desperately looking for. She listens for when patients express improvement in their health and asks them to write up a testimonial and gets the names of one, two, three of the patient’s friends who need chiropractic care. She calls those referrals and sets up a time for the doctor to call and give those people a complimentary phone consultation. She role plays the basic procedures with her other staff and ensures that the systems are in place for educating patients so they don’t fall out. Taking the initiative and coming up with ideas for Workshops in the clinic, promoting them and ensuring they are well attended is something she looks forward to and enjoys. By now you’re probably thinking that this type of employee doesn’t exist and I’ve made it all up. I haven’t. This is exactly the type of person you need in your office if you ever expect to succeed. There are probably more attributes that this person has that I haven’t mentioned. Well here’s one more. She will stay with you for years no matter what you do because she knows you are saving the lives of those people you adjust. She takes pride in the fact that she can help someone who is genuinely helping others.

If you don’t have an employee like this, the best way to find her is to start the hiring process and test the applicants using the Personnel Potential Analysis, IQ and Aptitude tests and she will magically appear. Visit http://www.measurablesolutions.com to do these tests.
